1966 April 6 UFO encounters in Vietnam & Westall Australia
Courtesy of Season 2, Episode 1 of the History channel's "Unidentified": "UFOs in Combat" we have information about a close encounter, during the Vietnam war, between a USAF Grumman A6 Intruder aircraft piloted by Lt. Cdr. Brian Westin encountering a silvery mercury coloured UFO - apparently 3 feet in diameter and 5 to 8 feet long. It passed very close the right wing tip of the aircraft. The sighting took place on 6 April 1966 - the same day as the Westall school case in suburban Melbourne, Victoria Australia.
The pilot was interviewed by TTSA (and former AATIP official) Luis Elizondo.
Pilot Westin's sketch of the object - which seemed smaller than what was reported at Westall.
My sketch of Victor Z.'s close encounter at Westall school on the same day.

The History Channel has it wrong: The A-6 was a USN aircraft and the witness was a U.S. Navy Naval Flight Officer with the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Thought you should know, but as someone who has a cousin in the USN and a naval aviator, I hate to see such mistakes.
